DEFINITION: An Antenuptial agreement is defined as a written contract between a man and woman who are about to marry, setting out the terms of possession of their respective assets, treatment of their future earnings, control of the property of each and potential division if the marriage might later be dissolved. These agreements are fairly common if either or both parties have substantial assets, children from a prior marriage, potential inheritances or high incomes.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANTENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS: If you get married with an Antenuptial Agreement, it means that you’ll be married “Out of Community of property”. You can choose to marry without the accrual system, or with the inclusion of the accrual system. The differences between the accrual systems will be explained to our clients so that they can make a fully informed decision and have the peace of mind that they are making the right one.
